General Lodging Requirements

Commercial liability or equivalent for injury to paying guests
Kansas State Sales Tax for 4 or more rooms
Transient Guest Tax for 3 rooms or more (if communities participate)

LOCAL REGULATIONS AND PERMITS

(This is required ONLY if you have a restaurant or catering business, or serve to guests OTHER than B&B/overnight guests)

(Note: According to Kansas State Health Regulations, you should have private baths for each guest rooms (KAR 28-36-40).  The state is currently not inspecting those inns with three or less guest rooms.  However, the State of Kansas required ALL Bed and Breakfast with four or more guest rooms to have lodging licenses.  In order to qualify for your lodging license, new businesses or newly renovated facilities must have private baths.)
If your community has zoning requirements, or any special permits are required, Check the box if you are in compliance.
